Rachel's Little Red Book

You. Will. Not. Believe. This.

I recently talked to Rachel Kauder Nalebuff, 19-year-old who put together an entire book of first period stories. It started - get this! - as a high school project. Alone, she wouldn't have been able to fill a book. She had only her story - a waterskiing adventure with her grandfather. So Rachel asked lots of girls and women to contribute.

She talked to older lady aunts and famous people, people from other countries and people in her class at school. The crazy thing is ... many, many of them completely spilled. They told about that first time on the train, or on the way to Rome, or at school or - regrettably for one teller - early in a long day at the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament.

Would you put your first period story in a book? I have no story to tell ... yet!

Rachel's book is called My Little Red Book. Read more about it HERE!

You can check out her website, too.

Hi Deema,
You can find Rachel's book at a bookstore or amazon.com. It's possible your local library has a copy, so you can check there, too. Happy reading!

I read about this book on another website a while ago, and I recently (earlier today) checked out her sight. Her aunt got her first period when she was just about to be searched by the Nazis. Horrible, huh? Well... somebody she was related to: I don't totally remember.
