New school worries!

Hi!
I just moved to the other side of town and I'm going to a new school. I know nobody there. School starts in less in almost a week and I'm kind of nervous! I've never started a new school! I always knew somebody (except Kindergarden teehee)
Any Advice??
Peace&&Love
Jenny, 12

Just be friendly. And make an effort to be nice, like I've always heard: "If you want someone to be your friend, you have to be a friend to them."

okay depending on what kind of friend you want (popular, artistic, athletic.)

usually joining clubs or teams can really help. Don't be shy. Or at least not too shy. Try getting to know some students like their names and tell them that you are new and you were wondering if they could show you around the school.

Best Wishes,
Vanessa, 11 :)

Dear Jenny,

Oh, that must be making you anxious! I know it makes me anxious knowing that some of my friends might not be at the same school as I am this school year. For me, I find singing helps when you are nervous. Singing, drawing, coloring, writing, and just saying your goodbyes to your friends are what would comfort me!

Signed,
Perfectine!

(No, I'm not perfect! LOL.)

just be friendly to people, i totally disagree with cupcakes=) some of my best friendships have started with me going up to a random stranger and just saying 'hi' how else will you get to know people? also, try to associate yourself with people who have lots of friends cause this means 1) they must be nice to have all those friends 2) they can introduce you to all their friends!
hope i helped -

Are you in Middle School or elementary?
If you're in elementary, then the teacher hopefully will get ya a buddy.
But if you're in Middle school, on your 1st block, try to keep happy. Some kids will want to be your friend. At lunchtime, just sit alone. I've tried sitting with other people on the first day without permission, and they didn't like it. So unless somebody asks you, just sit alone, enjoy your day until somebody wants you to sit with them.
By the way, I'm going to give you a tip: if you really want to sit with someone, DON'T Ever sit with the popular group.

It's just okay, as long as you don't sit with the popular group or the most unpopular group in school.I also agree with anonymous, just above me. Good luck!
