Tell Your BFFs About Best Bones Forever!
We all know we should make friends with our bodies. What I mean is we should like and appreciate our bodies. (No hating this and hating that about the way we look!) So let's talk for a minute about loving our bones.
Yes, our bones!
Did you know that you have ONE BIG CHANCE in your life to build strong bones? And for those of us who are tweens and teens that time is ... NOW!
Step 1 is eating and drinking healthy so that you get plenty of calcium. Reduced-fat milk (of course) but there's also calcium-fortified orange juice and tons of other foods.
Step 2 is exercise. Stuff like dancing, running, soccer, basketball, yoga - all those activities helps your bones get stronger.
Speaking of dancing, the Pink Locker Society is teaming up with the website Best Bones Forever. Look for an announcement coming soon about a dance contest sponsored by bestbonesforever.gov.
So here's what I want to know: Do you like to dance?
