Black+red wants more drink recipes!

Have you looked at our "Make Something" section? Black+red has and wants more recipes, especially for fizzy drinks.

Dear PLS,
My question is a little out of place, but i was wondering if you could put a little more in the 'Make something' section? i especially love making fizzy drinks.
thank you!
ps. wow those logos are rocking the place, keep goin team pink!

All great fizzy drinks start with the miracle ingredient of SELTZER. Seltzer is just bubbly water and it comes plain or in a bunch of different flavors. Look for seltzer that only contains water or water and natural flavor. Some have sugar or artificial sweeteners that you don't need.

The great thing about seltzer is that is doesn't have calories. So you can add a splash of juice and you'll get a flavorful, fizzy drink that's much better for you than soda or other sweet drinks, like sweet tea, lemonade sports drinks, or fruit punch.

Here are some of my favorite combinations:

Plain seltzer + a splash of orange juice
Plain seltzer + a splash of lemonade/limeade
Plain seltzer + a splash of fruit punch that's 100% juice + a lime wedge

If you get tired of bubbly drinks, try a smoothie. They are fruity milkshakes - yum!

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

Any other drink ideas for red+black?

Think pink!

mango/orange/peach juice plus seltzer.

The "new boys and girls cookbook" by Betty Crocker has cool drinks and meals. And when I say "new" I mean 1960's.

Strawberry blast

(My FAVOURITE ultra refreshing drink!)

- about 6 ice cubes
- 1 cup of strawberries
- a splash of lime or lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (totally NOT needed, but if you like a little extra sweetness then go ahead. I usually just use no sugar though.)

Blend ice in blender until crushed. (unless your ice is already crushed.) ( By the way, a tip for crushing your ice more easily, put a half cup or more water into the blender with the ice, then drain the water.) Next, put a splash of the juice wash and cut the tops off of strawberries then blend them in with the ice. Put into a glass and dollop it with whipped cream if wanted. (You can substitute the strawberries for bananas, blackberries, raspberries, plums or peaches too!)
Good luck!

I have a BRILLIANT recipe for a lovely banana milkshake, and it's really easy to make too! All you need is some vanilla ice cream, some whole or semi-skimmed milk, and some chopped banana. You just blend everything together to get a great drink to cheer you up! :-P
