Welcome Sally Joe, Totes Secret and General Jitsu!

I noticed some new girls on the blog lately. Welcome! I also wanted to let you know why you haven't seen your comments posted yet.

One common reason comments don't get approved is because you've linked to a URL or website when you were leaving your comment. It's not your fault because the program that this blog uses offers you the chance to list a URL or website address.

But we choose not to publish comments that are  linked because we don't want creepy people contacting you through a Facebook page or another personal page. This screen shot shows you which line to leave blank.

Also, please use only a first name or nickname. No last names. Lots of girls click the "Anonymous" option from the dropdown.

Think pink!
Jemma

@Anonymous
Sometimes when I use my phone or iPod it comes out as anonymous and I can't change it. If u are confused on the steps, then first click the box next to comment as: and it should give u a list. Click Name/URL. Then, like Jemma said, write your name in the name box but leave URL blank. Then click publish and you are good to go! Hope I helped! :)

Hey guys! I would like to discuss something serious. It's not about boys or periods or anything. So, I was online today and I saw some stuff about OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) Which if you don't know what it is, read the article on kids health.org. Anyway, I saw people using the term loosely and it made me very upset. It may not sound like that big of a deal,but I have severe OCD. There are different kinds,but mine is numbers. I love odd and dislike even numbers. My favorite is 7 and I love 3. I like 9 too, but I can't stand 1 and 5 even though they are odd. The only exception of an even is 6. I need to do things that certain amount of times. For example, if I spell a word wrong, I have to rewrite it three or seven times which is terrible especially on tests, when its a limited time. And when I clap, I count to make sure I clap an odd number of times. I'm also an extreme perfectionist. When I see a picture is tilted or my drawing isn't perfect,I freak out and take an hour to make it perfect. I check stoves and locks too many times (but always an odd number of times) to make sure they are okay. The list can go on and on, but that could take forever. This OCD problem is really taking over my life. I spend hours a day doing meaningless things. But I always feel I NEED TO do it, even if its the last thing I ever do. Anyway, people keep thinking OCD is just cleaning problems, but that's just NOT THE CASE. Like sometimes people say, "I always clean. I so have OCD!" And people also call people with OCD rude words that I don't feel comfortable saying. Do they think we can stop it? Do they think we like it? Do they think it's a JOKE? those are all questions that go through my mind when I see this. They think its not a big deal. But they don't think it can take your life away- hanging with friends, doing sports is all out of the question because we spend all our time on useless things! I'm not saying everyone with OCD, because some peoples are milder than others. Do you think I'm over reacting? I just don't like how people think they know what we are going to when they don't. Its a lot more serious than everyone thinks.
Thanks!
Jemma: Can you please put this as a post? I would like others to know OCD isn't a joke, its serious, and to have girls stand up to people who think otherwise.

To purple rose
First of all OCD is not a joke and u should tell people who r talking about it so. It's not your fault that u do things over and over. I don't think u r overreacting about it. Sometimes if u have a disorder people don't understand it's ok. If u want talk to someone about it.
Cupcake cutie- school started for me on August 7 and I'm in 8 grade :)

@PurpleRose,

Trust me, I don't think you're overreacting. I don't have OCD but I really, really hate it when people use that term, or any other medical condition for that matter loosely. I think that people should become more educated when it comes to these topics because they are NOT a matter to be taken as a joke. I spend lots of my free time at kidshealth.org learning about different illnesses and stuff (I want to be a doctor when I get older) and cringe whenever someone makes a joke about OCD. You should have a conversation with your parents (or some other adult you trust) and tell them about your problem (or have you done that already?) they can help you decide what steps to take in order to treat your OCD. Hope everything gets better for you!

well it sounds like you are just going thru what all girls go thru. Around the 1st times your period will be irregular. But it will straighten out soon.
