Back to school time - How ready are you?
It's about that time for those of us who are off for the summer. School is fast approaching. Are you ready? Are you the kind of girl who's excited and already organizing her supplies? Ok so I need advice. My school starts back August 7th and it's a private school, which means that I have basically the same people in my class every year and there is this boy that I have had a crush on since 5th grade and I'm going into 7th now his name is Benjamin and for a time I thought he liked me but now I'm not so sure. Here are some of the things that made me think he might have liked me.
1. In fifth grade on the way to lunch, his older brother called to him hey bemma! Bemma is what our names would be combined, Benjamin and Emma.
2. He would tell me a joke in 6th grade and not really blush but his face would be redder than usual and when I laughed he would smile
3. In fifth grade we were at recess and the jungle gym and the merry go round are right next to each other and he and his friends were sitting on tht and me and my friends were on the merry go round an I had my hair down and was swinging around and laughing and I could have sworn he was looking at me.
3. In 6th grade we were doing a mini spelling bee in English to see who would go to the actual spelling bee and the English teacher called my name after his and his friend Ben said bemma just where I could hear it and nobody else.
Please help and give me your opinion. Thanx!

Oh, who hasn't done this - kept a perfect record of everytime your crush glanced your way or something even a little encouraging happened? It sounds to me like this boy genuinely likes Georgiagirl. Does he like-like her, like want to be her boyfriend? Well, that's trickier.
Boys might not express themselves quite as openly or as much as girls. And sometimes a boy can feel uncomfortable when a girl has soooooo much emotion for him. But Georgiagirl can't help how she feels and she's doing some important thinking about the kind of boy she likes. Maybe Ben has some excellent qualities that she really likes in a boy - qualities she will look for when she's older and considering a boyfriend or husband. But for now, I'd say that she should keep being friends with Ben. If it turns out he likes her in that more serious way, great! If not, keep cool and keep being friends.

I need help. I have liked this guy for two years and when I was playing truth or dare at a sleepover, I got asked who I liked. I said the guys name and then the game went on. a week later my friend told me that my other friend told him and she sent me a screenshot. I found out from my other friend that she did tell him. he has been avoiding me ever since even though I confronted him and told him it was making me feel bad. I even said I wouldn't follow him around or anything but he still pretty much runs away from me. my friend says I should just talk to him at church because now I have gotten to the point where I cry at night about him. I feel like Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina! I need advice, especially now that he is looking at me constantly and he may like me. what do I do pls? help!

Next year I'll be going to 8th grade. I'm excited, but there's a lot more to be dreading for than what I'm excited for.
What I'm Excited For:
-I get to go to DC with my class!
-Last year of middle school!
-Graduation!
-School elections for President!
However...
What I'm dreading:
-Graduation Dance= Boys asking girls= a LOT of boy trouble (for my friends, which I'm always brought into)
-There's a lot of work in 8th grade. When my sister was in that year her work kept her up until midnight.
-Lots of responsibility, a lot more than the other years
-Younger grades look up to us
-No free time
-I have to work up early in the morning
So what do I do about what I'm dreading? How do I get over it? Girls, please help me out!

So, when I was in grades 4-5 I had three boyfriends. At the time it was fun, but now I realize I didn't have any feelings for them, I really just wanted to look cool. I seriously regret ever dating, it was just stupid, I was trying to look older and cooler than I was. I am going into 8th grade now, and I still consider myself too young.
In my opinion, you are ready once you have actual, legitimate feelings for someone, and you won't be embarrassed to tell your parents and grandparents about the relationship. That might seem strange, but if you are embarrassed, that means deep down you are aware the relationship isn't a good idea.

For a dance you don't need to have a date. If some of your friends and you all don't have dates, you can go in a girl group! At my 8th grade dance, one of my friends went with a date, and I went with two of my best girlfriends.
It's true that the work load is larger than in 7th grade. Once I stayed up until almost dawn! However, you'll probably only have to stay up late for a few nights out of the year, and you can always sleep in that weekend. Don't worry, you'll still have time to hang out with friends. Personally, I had enough time for a club or sports practice every day after school, and then for being in Grease at my school at the end of the year.
Remember, every girl has survived their 8th grade year, and once you get started in it, it'll feel as normal as 7th grade or 6th grade did.

I have the same problem as polkadots. Only mine is a lot more worse, because my crush likes another girl who is absolutely stupid (I'm not being mean-it's a fact) and is a complete attention-seeker. He completely avoids me now that our mutual friend told him that I liked him- and now that mutual friend of ours is helping him 'earn the love' of the other girl.

My crush still says that he likes the other girl, although he never looks or talks to her even if she's sitting right next to him.
The girl is really weird. She used to have a crush on a guy called R, and then she found out he liked someone else. So then she said that she'd begun to like S (he liked her). And after she found out that my crush liked her, she called HIM her love-interest. (so basically she's been changing her crushes). Now my crush supposedly doesn't pay her any 'attention' (that's in her words), so she has stopped liking him, and now she likes S again.
What's wrong with her?! And she's such a horrible person- she's even tried to steal a girl's bff!
Is it even possible for anyone to 'change' crushes like that? Or do you think she's just making a whole lot of drama?

Ok after I got home on the first day of school,(aug.7) I was thinking about everything that had gone on. Some boys were teasing this guy named Brandon about choosing to sit near me when there were two seats he could have sat on. Then I thought back to last year when the boys claimed he said he liked me and would not let me forget it. Then I randomly started thinking about what our names would be together. AND THEN IT HIT ME. Our name would be bemma too!! Maybe benji never liked me at all. Maybe it was BRANDON. And Brandon isn't a boy I would like to have as a boyfriend to put it mildly. What do I do? Honestly, I think that you should just play it cool. I'm going into 8th grade, and boys are nothing worth worrying about a our age. But, I would let the guy come to you, whether its Benji or Brandon. If the guy liked you enough, he would make the move. Who knows? Maybe your feelings will change if Brandon says he likes you. Just keep cool. :)

(I live in the us) Well GeorgiaGirl, I'm totally like u, keeping track of everything little possible hint my crush gives. And at our school we like to mix names together to. Also about ur new problem, I've had trouble with that b4 too. I've never really asked him directly and I do not recommend that, but he's certainly given signs that he wants to be just friends. Some ppl are just like that- they jump from one person to another. Personally, I feel these kind of people only say they have crushes cause they think its fun. Be careful aroungd these ppl cause they always end up breaking hearts.

Oh my god, my crush did the most adorable thing ever! So we were waiting in a long line at the cafeteria at school, and for some reason I had to go upstairs. He offered to buy for me, and leave it with our friend, so I gave him the money and left. When I came back, my friend gave me my lunch, with my money. I went to him and gave him the money, but he refused, saying that if I asked him to do anything for me, he'd be the one paying. So sweet <3

This is kind of tricky. I know that when I found out that my best guy friend liked me I did not take it well. I basically freezed him out for the last week of the school year. This year things are perfectly fine with us, though I still don't return his feelings. So at the beginning of your post you make it sound like he doesn't like you, but at the end you do(if you see this please elaborate on that). I would try to make things less awkward between you two. Hang out with his friends more, give him a reason to talk to you, ask him to do small favors for you and see what he says.

Its been so long since I last commented!! I am in 8th grade now O.O and would like to share a little! The blogging may have stopped, but I hope the community formed here will keep striving :)
I had my first crush at age 10, we confessed to each other at age 11 and were an item till March 2015. Even till now we remain friends and still talk to each other regularly. So don't worry, I understand all the thrill, joys and sorrows that come with crushes. But whether or not each new relationship works out or fails, its an important learning point. Keep treasuring every moment while it lasts, and keep moving on if it doesn't.
Okay so in my country we move schools at age 12 (that's why the puberty year of age 13 is automatically harder for all of us!!) I'm in a private all girls school, which is pretty cool, but the sad thing was my crush and I parted ways :( it was sort of an inevitable drifting apart thing.. he messaged me one night to ask "Do you still like me?" and I was just "no.. sorry" and he was super relieved "I don't either but was scared it would hurt you" he's a great guy and we were an item for two years and I don't really have any regrets. If you ask me about relationships, here are my two cents:
First, try not to get caught up in anything complicated ie love triangles yes you can't help feeling that way (and its a beautiful feeling) but that doesn't have to become an obsession. Hang out with your girlfriends, do fun things and enjoy yourself with or without the guy. Second, its okay to go forward and confess, but make sure at least 2 people you can trust back up your decision. If it happens the person doesn't feel the same way, you'll have both of them to comfort you and help you heal. Third, guys are really immature sometimes, and they can find it hard to deal with crushes and such. Don't let them lead you in circles and leave you confused and in a situation. One day they'll grow up.
I have missed so many of you: georgiagirl, polkadots, PurpleRose, pink-a-boo, Bluetiful Blossom, Heartbroken Luna just to name a few. I guess you all are tackling new problems now but if you are facing any issues please comment here and such!!
On kisses: as a christian I believe God wants me to save my first kiss and so on, but its still your heart and your decision. Make sure that kiss (and the ones to follow) are happy memories!!

Actually, never mind it's solved! I talked to her and she said that no one liked her and she had no friends, so I was kind of her first good friend, so she didn't really know she was being mean at the time. She found some nice friends( also my friends) and we hang out all the time. She's nicer now that she has some company!

hi. speaking from my friends behalf, I just want to say there are 2 main options when you have a crush:
1- talk to him. Tell him your feeling and see if he likes you or not
2-keep it a secret. Pretend it's like a game of life which only you know about.
One more thing, just be yourself. Something MAGICAL can just happen. Hope this helps.
